Rolf Johansson
Rolf is a Swedish lawyer and a member of the Swedish Law Society (”Advokatsamfundet”). He has spent some 20 successful years as a domestic and international real estate transaction and finance lawyer with Lagerlöf & Leman Advokatbyrå, one of the top business law firms in Sweden, which merged with London City magic circle firm Linklaters in 2001. He was the Swedish Managing Partner during 2000 – 2005 and, following the merger, a member of Linklaters’ board of directors. He was responsible on the Swedish side for the merger, the integration process and a business development programme that successfully refocused the Swedish firm on transactions, finance and capital markets.
Rolf graduated as LL.M. in 1978 from Uppsala University and is an educated judge (“Hovrättsfiskal”) at Svea Court of Appeal (“Svea hovrätt”) in Stockholm. Returning to the legal faculty in Uppsala (where he still lives) he spent three year as an assistant professor (“Universitetslektor”) in law during 1982 – 1985 and the last year as the director of studies of the faculty of law.
Rolf has just stepped down from the Linklaters partnership to take up an independent consultancy role with focus on management of Swedish and international professional services firms (law firms and other PSFs) and on partners’ and associates’ individual professional development. Based on his practical experience of managing a large law firm, he is currently involved in business development and strategy projects of domestic and international law firms. He is also currently attending Meyler Campbell’s Business Coach Programme.

Other
Rolf has published articles on international real estate transaction and financing. Over the years he has been and still is a non-executive director of several Swedish public and private real estate and finance companies. On the international side he has been a member of the board of directors of Lex Mundi, “the world’s leading association of independent law firms”.
